Connie Alston, Founder & CEO

My mission is to give life to the values found in Acres of Diamonds: helping one’s fellows, benefiting one’s neighborhood, (and) blessing one’s own city and state (Temple University Founder, Russell Conwell, 1921). 

Connie is part of an entrepreneurial family.  Connie’s father, Ben, was the first African-American to own a wholesale company in Center City Philadelphia.  Ben also owned a clothing store and numerous vending stands throughout Philadelphia.  (He has since retired.) Connie’s mother, Cookie, owned a bar and restaurant in Center City, Philadelphia but has since sold the bar and focuses only on her restaurant business – Cookum’s Café aka Top Shelf.  Alston Accounting & CFO Services is Connie’s newest addition to the family of entrepreneurs.  

Connie is very proud of her B.B.A. in Accounting from Temple University (#TempleMade) and that she is a Girls High Girl (#227).  Connie holds a Master of Science in Management and Leadership and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration in Organizational Leadership. Connie's doctoral focus is on reducing toxic nonprofit workplace environments.

Connie and husband, Shawn, have three adult children, one daughter-in-law, three grandchildren, and two furbaby grandpups.   

Tyrone Dixon, Chief Sales & Marketing Officer

Tyrone has over 15 years of experience in sales and marketing.  Tyrone is known throughout the tri-state area as ‘The Man Who Can Make It Happen’ as evidenced by numerous successful sales and marketing campaigns for major corporations. 

Tyrone is responsible for creative and innovative sales and marketing campaigns to drive market impact and expansion of the Alston Accounting & CFO Services brand.  Tyrone is also responsible for our client experience through the execution and design of our social media content.  

Tyrone is a proud father of two and is an avid Philly sports fan.  Tyrone has a love for music and conversation.  Tyrone graduated from Shippensburg University with a B.A. in Human Communication.

Coach Q has over 10 years of working in the fitness industry as a personal trainer, performance trainer, group fitness trainer, and wellness coach. Before starting in the fitness industry, he dedicated 20 years of his life to pursuing his passion for football. Coach Q played football at the University of Iowa, where he earned Academic Big Ten and Second Team All-Big Ten Lineback honors. After his collegiate career, Coach Q played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He suffered an NFL career-ending injury which sparked his passion for pursuing the tie between physical and mental fitness. As a national trainer for a mental health organization, Coach Q trained educators on suicide prevention techniques.  

Coach Q loves outdoor adventures, hiking with his pups, and RV camping with his wife. Coach Q has a B.S in Recreation and Sports Management. He also holds nationally accredited ACE fitness certifications.
